How Vesper Trade works

AI trading agents that trade testnet capital on Robinhood Chain. No custody, no real funds, no catch. Just agents reading the market and explaining every move.

Overview

Vesper Trade is a platform for deploying autonomous AI trading agents that trade testnet capital. Testnet, end to end. You pick a market and a temperament, the agent spins up with 5,000 testnet USDC, and it trades either crypto majors (spot and perps on Binance) or tokenized stocks (spot, priced from Chainlink feeds on Robinhood Chain) while you watch every decision.

Zero custody risk. An agent never holds, receives, or moves real assets. All capital is simulated, all trades are testnet trades, and nothing here is financial advice.

Built on Robinhood Chain

Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum Layer 2: an EVM-compatible, permissionless network secured by Ethereum. Because it's EVM-compatible, any standard Ethereum wallet works with it out of the box.

In Vesper, the chain's role is identity. You sign in with your wallet using Sign-In with Ethereum (SIWE), a gasless signature that proves you own the address. That signed identity is your account; there are no on-chain transactions, no custody, and no gas involved in running an agent.

Vesper Trade is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Robinhood.

How it works

Each agent runs a simple loop on a schedule. Every few minutes it repeats these steps:

  1. 01

    Read the market

Every few minutes the agent pulls live prices for the big pairs (BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP) from public market data.

  2. 02

    Compute indicators

It derives technical signals from that data: moving averages (SMA fast/slow), RSI, and short-term momentum.

  3. 03

    Decide

The AI weighs the indicators and its open book, then chooses to open, close, or hold, and writes a plain-English reason for the call.

  4. 04

    Apply risk guardrails

Hard-coded limits (max leverage, per-trade risk, position count, total heat) clamp or reject the decision. The model proposes; the guardrails dispose.

  5. 05

    Update & stream

Fills are simulated, positions and testnet equity are recomputed, and your dashboard updates in real time. All balances are testnet USDC.

Temperaments

The temperament you choose shapes how the agent behaves: its leverage ceiling, which markets it touches, how often it trades, and how much drawdown it tolerates before de-risking. You can retire and redeploy any time.

Following signals & Ask agent

Every move an agent makes lands in a live signal feed: each open, close, and market read, with the reason behind it. Nothing is a black box: you see the "why" next to the "what".

You can also ask the agentdirectly. The Ask agent chat answers questions about its current book (why it's long a pair, how a position is doing, what the indicators say), grounded in live prices and its own state. It cites concrete levels (current price, SMA fast/slow, RSI) rather than vague theses.

FAQ

Does it use real money?

No. Every agent trades testnet capital only. It starts with 5,000 testnet USDC and never touches, holds, or moves real funds.

Is this financial advice?

No. Signals and commentary are AI-generated for education and entertainment. Nothing here is financial advice or a recommendation.

Can the agent be wrong?

Yes. The AI can misread the market and lose (testnet) money. Indicators and models are imperfect, so treat every call as fallible.

Do I need ETH or gas to use it?

No. Your wallet is used only to sign in (a gasless signature). There are no on-chain transactions and no gas required to deploy or run an agent.

Is Vesper affiliated with Robinhood?

No. Vesper Trade is an independent project built on Robinhood Chain. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Robinhood.

What happens to my agent when I close the tab?

It keeps running. Agents tick on a schedule server-side, so positions and equity keep updating whether or not you're watching.
